Former Tiger receives an academic honor

Former Bradwell Tiger track star Larry Henry received United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-academic honors, the USTFCCCA announced Wednesday.
Henry graduated Friday from Troy (Ala.)University.
In order to qualify for USTFCAA all-academic honors, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative grade-point average and qualify for the NCAA preliminary meet.
Henry, a native of Hinesville, won the Sun Belt Conference high-jump championship with a mark of 2.11 meters, which qualified him for the NCAA East preliminary meet.
He finished 25th following a jump of 2.07 meters. Henry graduated with a 3.25 GPA in social science.
He plans to attend graduate school at Troy in the fall.
