The ninth annual Henry “Hank” White Memorial Golf Tournament is this Saturday at the Cherokee Rose Golf Course in Hinesville.
Tournament organizer Derrick Taylor said registration still is open and spots remain in the four-person scramble format tournament.
The fee is $60 per person or $240 per team and includes the green fee, golf-cart rental and lunch.
Each year, the tournament awards several scholarships in honor of the late Deacon Henry “Hank” White. Since the first year, more than $50,000 in scholarships has been awarded.
Graduating seniors from Bradwell Institute and Liberty County High School, and a senior who attends First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church are eligible. There is also a community scholarship.
Tournament prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams. There will be a designated hole for an opportunity to win a Ford F-150 or Toyota Tundra pickup with a hole-in-one shot.
Sponsorship opportunities also still are available. For more information, call Taylor at 977-6714 or Janice Taylor at 876-4513.
