Former Bradwell Institute football player Gary Guyton has signed a one-year contract with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.
According to Guyton’s agent, Robert Klass of Klass Sports LLC in Atlanta, Guyton signed the contract Sunday. Terms were undisclosed, but USA Today reported that it is believed Guyton will earn the veteran’s minimum.
According to the Tennessean, Guyton will help a banged-up Titans linebacker corps.
Guyton, 27, started his NFL career with the New England Patriots, appearing in 61 games with 32 starts over four seasons.
Last year, as a free agent, Guyton signed with the Miami Dolphins in April 2012 but was released in August, then spent five days on the Dallas Cowboys’ roster before joining the San Diego Chargers in December and appearing in one game.
According to an article on USA Today, Guyton, a former Georgia Tech player, had worked out with the Titans last year before he signed with the Chargers.
