In addition to the numerous accolades Liberty County High School football standout Raekwon McMillan has racked up the past two years — including winning the 2013 Butkus Award, which goes to the top high-school linebacker in the nation — the future Ohio State Buckeye recently received the Coastal Courier/Mike Reed Chevrolet Player of the Year award for the Panthers. According to a news release from God's Anointed New Generation, a youth group in Riceboro, McMillan’s accomplishments will be celebrated from 4-6 p.m. Friday at the Liberty County Performing Arts Center. McMillan will sign autographs. The event is open to the public.
