Highlander Brooke Standard pulled a hat trick against Georgia Christian Saturday in Valdosta.
Her three successive scores helped push the First Presbyterian Christian Academy girls over Georgia Christian, 4-0, in the ’Landers’ last game of the regular season. According to Highlander coach Tom Sukaratana, two of Standard’s three goals were from head-balls. One was from an assist by Megan Gillon on a throw in. The other head-ball came from an assist by Kelsey Higgason on a free kick.

Sukaratana said the girls had 35 shots on goal. He said Higgason scored the fourth goal.
With that victory, the Lady ‘Landers finish the regular season 11-1 overall and were undefeated at 6-0 in the 4-AA Georgia Independent School Association classification.
Sukaratana said the girls will host the first round of the state playoffs starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Lafayette. Lafayette Christian School is 3-9 overall and 1-5 in Region 1-AA.
