Registration for football,
cheerleading open
Registration for youth football and cheerleading at the Liberty County Recreation Department is under way.
This program is for ages 7-12. Age is determined as of Sept. 1, 2013.  
Seven- to-eight-year-olds
play flag football, and 9-12 year olds play tackle football.
Weight restrictions apply to all tackle-football participants.  
Cost is $20 per child. All equipment is provided except pants for tackle-football players. Teams will be formed in Midway, Walthourville, Riceboro and Gum Branch if there are enough participants.  
Volunteer coaches are needed for all teams.

way for youth soccer
Registration for youth soccer at the Liberty County Recreation Department is under way. This program is for ages 4-17 as of Aug. 1, 2013.  
The fee is $20 per child.  Games will be played on weekday evenings starting Sept. 14 at James A. Brown Park.  
Registration deadline is Friday. Volunteer coaches are needed for all teams.

Sign up for competition cheerleading team
Registration for a competition cheerleading team at the Liberty County Recreation Department for ages 7-14 is under way.
Age is determined by an Aug. 31 cut-off date. Team practices will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
The team will participate in at least three competitions in 2014.  
The fee is $50 per month.
