Diamond Club golf tournament set
Long County Diamond Club will host its first golf tournament Saturday at Cherokee Rose Country Club. Sign-in begins at 12:30 p.m., with a shotgun start 1:30.
Proceeds will benefit the Long County Blue Tide baseball team. The fee is $60 per person. The tournament format is four-person, captain’s-choice scramble. Hole sponsorships are available for $100.
Prizes will be awarded for top three places, closest to pin, longest drive and hole-in-one on a selected hole.

Winter Open League set to begin in September
The Tuesday Night Winter Open League is starting back up. League meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10,  at Marne Lanes. League action begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17. For more information, call 767-4866 or 369-4777.
