Low Country Storm holding tryouts
A new basketball team, the Low Country Storm, will host basketball tryouts on Feb. 15 at the Riceboro Youth Center. It is open to girls ages 15 and younger and boys 14 and younger. The girls’ tryout will be from 2-3:30 p.m., and the boys’ tryouts are from 3:30-5 p.m. For more information, call coach Darrell West at 912-321-9945.

Special one day bus trip to Miami

Join Lisa and Tico Brown as they set up a one day bus trip to Miami to watch their son basketball player Rion Brown play against Boston College. UM will host Boston College at noon Feb. 22, in the Hurricanes’ home arena. The cost of the one day trip is $135.00 and includes the bus ride, game ticket and T-shirt. Scott’s All*Stars basketball tryouts set

Scott’s All*Stars will have tryouts for boys in fifth through ninth grades at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Liberty County YMCA. The final required tryouts will be Feb. 8-9, with more information to follow.All*Star participants will be required to participate in community services and become mentors of youth in staying drug-free.
