Richmond Hill High School’s varsity baseball team will host its annual “Military Appreciation Night” Friday at Wildcat Field. The 6 p.m. game against the Liberty County Panthers will be dedicated to former Liberty pitcher Joe Watkins, who died in an automobile accident in November.
All military personnel will be admitted free to Friday’s game in which players’ parents currently serving in the military will be recognized. Special guests will be Jan Williams and Pat Watkins, parents of Joe Watkins, a 2011 Liberty County High School graduate who was a friend of several Wildcat players and coaches.
