A Long County couple’s domestic dispute escalated into a hammer attack that seriously injured the woman. Her husband has been charged with aggravated assault.
Long County Sheriff’s Office investigator Tom Sollosi said that Deputy Julius Bargeron responded to a call at around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 16 on Tommie Hines Road about a husband and wife arguing.
Bargeron said Darlene Marshall claimed her husband, Robert Lee Marshall Jr., hit her above her right eye with his fist and shoved her to the floor.
