Region 2-AA coaches recently released the names of players selected All-Region.

The Long County boys soccer team had nine players make either the first or second team.
First team includes Tanner Brant, Paul Cruz, Alex Duenes and Armando Orozco. Garnering second-team honors were Conor Brant, Cayetano Sanchez, Luis Perez, Abel Cruz and David Meija.

This year, the Blue Tide soccer team finished the year with a 14-2 overall and an 11-1 mark in the region. The team made the playoffs, but fell 1-0 to Dublin in a heartbreaker.

Long County is losing eight seniors to graduation, but still should be in good shape next season with Cruz, Duenes, Orozco, Brant, Sanchez and Perez all returning.
