Long seniors honored
Tide Soccer Sr Night
The senior players of the Long County High School soccer teams were recognized between games against Bryan County.

The senior players of the Long County High School soccer teams were recognized between games against Bryan County on March 24 in Ludowici.
For the Lady Tide, Alyssa Anderson was escorted by her parents, Jeff and Diana. Alyssa, a three-year member of the team, also is a member of the school’s Beta and HOSA clubs. She plans to go to Valdosta State University to major in psychology.
Madalyne Flynn was escorted by her brother, Johnathon, and mother, Dana Green. She has been on the team for two years. Madalyne plans to attend Armstrong State University to become a geriatric nurse.
Samantha Garcia, escorted by her parents, Matt and Kristie, has been on the team for three years. She also is a member of the Lady Tide basketball team. Samantha plans to go to Georgia Regents University after graduation.
Hannah Golden was escorted by her mother, Melissa. She has been on the team for three years and is the STAR student for LCHS. After graduation, she plans to attend Truett McConnell College and hopes to become either a missionary or a sign-language interpreter.
Jennifer Hernandez, escorted by her parents, Miguel and Maria, is a three-year member of the team and is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and school-yearbook staff. She plans to major in nursing at Armstrong State.
Xena Lewallen was escorted by her mother, Michelle Ballard. Xena, who has been on the team for three years, also has been a cheerleader for the school. After graduation, she plans to study nuclear radiology.
Taylor Poole, escorted by her parents, Lamar and Lee Ann, has been on the team for three years and is a member of the softball team and the Beta Club. She plans to attend the University of Florida with the goal of obtaining a doctorate in pharmacy.
For the Blue Tide, first-year player Keith Anderson was escorted by his parents, Jared and Vera. He told his teammates and future players to work hard and listen to the coach. Keith plans to attend college and then join the Army.
Antonio Duenes, who has been on the team for three years, was escorted by his mother, Lily. He is a member of the yearbook staff and FBLA. He told his teammates to always do the right thing at the right time with the right motivation. After graduation, Duenes plans to attend college and become an emergency medical technician.
Francisco Mejia was escorted by teacher Cory Brace. Francisco, who has been on the team for three years, told future players to work hard but also have fun playing. Mejia plans to attend Georgia Southern University.
Alberto Nevarez was escorted by his parents, Luis and Zoila. He has been on the team for three years. He plans to attend Georgia Southern to become a soccer coach.
