Nadeau to set new goals at Toccoa Falls
Nadeau signs
FPCA senior Abby Nadeau signs a letter of intent with Toccoa Falls College.

Abby Nadeau already has in mind what she wants to work on before she begins her collegiate soccer career.

The First Preparatory Christian Academy senior, also a team captain, is going to work on scoring goals before she heads off to Toccoa Falls College. While it seems basic, it will be a change for Nadeau, since she’s been a keeper this season.

“Being that I’m playing on the field this next year, I need to work on that a little more,” she said of her scoring touch.

While averaging more than 5.5 saves per game this season, she’s also had her chances with the ball at her feet and has scored four goals.

“I’m a jack of all trades,” Nadeau said.

Having signed to play college soccer just before FPCA’s graduation is also a load off Nadeau’s shoulders.

“It’s a huge relief,” she said. “I’m super excited for the next steps. I think it’s a big opportunity.”

What Nadeau enjoys most about soccer is working with the team, she said.

“It’s like a community, a family,” she added.

Plus, there’s also what she’s learned under FPCA soccer coach Tom Sukaratana, the veteran and venerable instructor of the game.

“It’s exciting,” Nadeau said. “It’s always something new.”
