Northeast Macon gave the Tigers their eighth straight loss in game two of the Gentlemen’s Classic Tournament in Statesboro with the Hinesville boys losing 61-49 Tuesday night.
The Raiders closed the first quarter with a 24-12 lead. The Tigers bounced back to come within four but the Raiders dropped in 11 points to the Tigers’ two in the third quarter to expand their lead 39-26.
Although the Tigers outscored the Raiders by one in the fourth, it was not enough to close the deficit.
Bradwell and Liberty were set to hit the courts at 6:30 Wednesday night in the last day of the tournament.
Due to early holiday deadlines the scores from Wednesday’s BI vs. Liberty were unavailable for today’s paper. They were to be posted on the Courier’s sports Web-site as soon as possible. The full story and coaches comments will be in an upcoming edition.
