Panthers improve to 6-1, Tigers fall to Pirates

Liberty County High School moves to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in Region 2-3A after dropping Brantley County 51-16 in Nahunta last Friday.

The full stats for the win had not been posted in time for press.

Liberty faces a tough Pierce County team this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Donell Woods Stadium.

The Bradwell Institute Tigers fell to the Brunswick Pirates 21-13 last Friday in a Region game in Brunswick.

Tiger quarterback Dariuse Cooper threw for 104 yards and completed 6 of 11 passes. The Tigers rushed for 274 yards with Kaimanni Gordon leading the team with 12 carries for 143 yards and one touchdown. Cooper rushed for 83 yards and also scored a touchdown. Quintarius Chapman led in receptions with three for 63 yards. 

Brunswick was up 7-0 in the first. The Tigers scored a touchdown prior to the half but trailed 7-6 after missing the extra point attempt. Brunswick added two touchdowns in the next two quarters of play. Bradwell did score a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Tigers are 1-2 in Region 2-6A and 3-5 overall. They play Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Glynn Academy.
