A weekend of rainouts didn’t hamper the Jake Blitz at Cherokee Rose Country Club with golfers enjoying both a Wednesday and President’s Day blitz. Dwayne Rye captured medalist honors during last Wednesday’s Jake Blitz with a blistering 5-under par 66.

Malio Tauave captured overall points totals during the round with front and back nine top scores.

Monday’s President’s Day round found Patrick Edwards, Ronnie Brown and Tammy Balance winning medalist honors with 75’s. Thomas Ribas grabbed overall points honors for the round with +8 points.

Club Jake Blitz is held every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Sign up times end at 8:30 am on Wednesday and Saturday with start time at 9:00 am. Sign up time ends at 12:30 pm on Sunday with start at 1:00 pm. Golfers are paired into groups and are on a points system. Course members and the public are invited to play.
