Sunbury 5K is Saturday
The fifth annual Sunbury 5K, presented by Merritt & Grinstead, Attorney at Law, is set for 10 a.m. Saturday in Sunbury.
Registration is $30 per runner. All registration proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association and the Vietnam Veterans of America for the assistance of local veterans.

Annual Manna House Golf Tournament set
The third annual Manna House Golf Tournament is set for 1 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Cherokee Rose Golf Club in Hinesville.
The tournament will raise funds to provide turkeys and hams for those in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Entrance fee is $50, plus two canned goods, per player.
Mulligans cost $5, with a maximum of two.
Registration is open until Oct. 19.
Check-in time is noon, and the four-man scrambles begins at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served starting at noon.
Sponsorships are available from $100 to $500.
