Golf tourney to help breast-cancer patient
The Tee-off for Ta-Tas golf tournament is at
1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at Cherokee Rose Country Club.
Funds raised will help cover medical expenses for Angie Dixon, the Cherokee Rose Country Club Ladies Golf Association president who was diagnosed with breast cancer in July. The tournament is accepting registration. The fee for the four-person scramble is $200 per team and includes two mulligans per player. Sponsorship opportunities are available. The tournament will be limited to the first 21 teams that register. Cash prizes will be awarded and dinner will be provided after the tournament.

The fifth annual Sunbury 5K at will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
