Two LCRD All-Star teams win state championship

The LCRD 14 and Under Boys and 17U Boys All-Star basketball teams won Georgia Recreation and Parks Association State Championships earlier this month. And the 12U Girls were the State Runner-Up.GRPA District 2 tournaments were played Feb. 23-24, with the 8U Girls, 10U Girls and 10U Boys playing at Charles Shuman Recreation Center in Hinesville. District tournaments for all other teams were played in Douglas, except the 14U Girls who advanced straight to the State tournament.The 8U Girls, 12U Girls, and 14U Boys teams won their District tournament to advance to the State tournament and the 17U Boys advanced to State as the District 2 Runner-Up.
