Wildcats celebrate homecoming with 28-0 win

The Walker Middle School football team improved its record to 5-0 on Friday night, defeating Snelson-Golden Middle school at home. In addition to the Wildcats’ 28-0 victory over the Eagles, Walker Middle School also celebrated its first homecoming on Friday. Delonte Singleton and Malik Williams scored touchdowns for the Wildcats and Kaleb McCray put up two scores for the night.

The Long County team has defeated Martha Pucket (22-6), Ware Middle School (21-14), Appling County (22-8), Brantley County (22-0) and Snelson Golden (28-0).

The eighth-grade homecoming queen, Maggie Alexander, was crowned during the festivities. She is the daughter of Cynthia and Michael Alexander.

The first runner-up was Samantha Garcia, daughter of Matt and Kristie Garcia. Seventh-grader Adrienne Hall and sixth-grader Sydnie Garcia were crowned princesses, and seventh-grader Leah Charity was named fan favorite.

Sixth-graders Brittany Aughtman, Victoria Johnson and Kylie Rogers; seventh-graders Ashleah Page and Larita Foutain Hurst; and eighth-graders Ashley White and Jaela Walters also were on the homecoming court.
