Golden Isles Arts & Humanities is seeking visual art submissions for The Ritz Theatre gallery’s upcoming exhibit #SocialArt, opening Sept. 6.
Visual artists are encouraged to submit pieces inspired by social media to be displayed in the gallery and interacted with online.
The art could be based on a tweet, the Facebook logo, an Instagram photo, etc.
The piece will be displayed with a QR code that will take the audience to a page where they can comment and vote for the artist. Don’t have a smartphone? There will be paper “like” buttons and comment cards in the gallery. Artist and audience have immediate interaction.
