Grammy Award nominees The Fray and The Band Perry will headline Georgia Southern University's spring concert Friday, April 20 at Paulson Stadium.
The concert follows in the tradition of recent spring shows put on by Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Three Doors Down.
The Band Perry is a 2012 best new artist Grammy nominee and winner of the 2011 American Country Music Top New Vocal Group Award whose singles "If I Die Young" and "All Your Life" reached the No. 1 spot on country charts.
The Fray is a piano-based rock band whose hits include "Over My Head (Cable Car)" and "How to Save A Life." The group was nominated for a Grammy in 2010. The band's latest album, "Scars and Stories," was released in the United States last week.
Tickets for GSU students will go on sale Monday, March 19, and general admission tickets for the public will go on sale Monday, March 26. Student tickets are $25 for the field and $20 for the stands; general admission tickets are $45 for the field and $40 for the stands. Military and faculty discount tickets are also available.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the University Store and online through Etix.
Gates open at 6 p.m., and The Band Perry will perform at 7:30 p.m., followed by The Fray at 9:30 p.m.
