Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Anderson of Hinesville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Nicole, to Bryant James Tuten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Tuten of Colonel's Island.
The bride-elect's maternal grandparents are Hazel Atcheson and the late Sam Atcheson of Dallas, Ga. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Anderson of Woodstock.
She is a 2003 graduate of Liberty County High School and recently graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's of science in criminal justice from Kennesaw State University where she was a member of Delta Phi Epsilon.
The groom-elect's maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. James Bryant of Fleming and the late Katherine Bryant. His paternal grandparents are Barbara Tuten and the late James Tuten of Colonel's Island.
He is a 2001 graduate of Liberty County High School and is currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University. He is employed with Nor-Ral Plastics Aerospace Engineering in Canton.
A spring wedding is planned for May 10 at the Belvedere Island Clubhouse in Townsend.
