The Baconton Missionary Baptist Church mission department and several other volunteers boxed and distributed more than 100 food baskets for the church’s annual Thanksgiving giveaway.

Baconton’s mission department has been feeding the less fortunate in Liberty County for more than 17 years.

Johnnie Hampton and Gwen Meyers have been the ministry coordinators for several years.

Dr. Hermon Scott is the pastor of Baconton Missionary Baptist Church, which is in Allenhurst.
