The Hinesville Area Board of Realtors will host its annual golf tournament on Saturday, April 5, at the Cherokee Rose Golf Course.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and the shotgun start begins at 1:30.
The funds raised will go to the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life event at Lewis Frasier Middle School on April 18 and 19.
To play in the tournament, individuals or teams may register up to April 5. It costs $50 per person and $200 per team (four max).
The entry fee includes the cart, green fees, food and drinks, and prizes for everyone.
The tournament is a four-person scramble, meaning that the person on each team who hits the ball the best during each stroke is the one that advances. You do not necessarily have to play golf well to do well in the tournament.
There will be a special prize given to the last place finisher.
Other contests during the tournament include; straightest drive, power ball, closest to the pin, and a 50/50 raffle. Mulligans are also available to "erase" a bad shot for $5 each, available before the start of the tournament.
Anyone may sponsor a hole for $100 per person/corporation. There will be a sign at the tee off of every hole allowing everyone who is participating to see.
Harley Davidson of Savannah will provide a new motorcycle for anyone who hits a hole in one on the 13th hole. The hole is sponsored HABR.
