WEST POINT, N.Y. — Cadet Harrison Joseph Place, son of Col. and Mrs. Ronald Place of Fort Stewart, completed cadet basic training at the U.S. Military Academy.
Place entered West Point on June 27 and successfully completed six weeks of CBT.
Place, who began classes Aug. 15, graduated from Fort Knox High School, where he was an honor student and captain of the cross-country and swimming teams.
He plans to graduate from West Point in 2015 and will be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
