Lawrence and Elaine Boggs of Hinesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Elaine Boggs of Kennewick, Wash., to Matthew Tyler Jones, son of Sonny Jones and Carol Vencill of Lexington, Ky.
Meredith graduated from Savannah Christian Preparatory School and earned a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism from Georgia Southern University. She is an evening news anchor at an NBC affiliate. Her paternal grandparents are the late William and Katie Boggs of Miami. Her maternal grandparents are the late William F. and Terese de Rochemont of North Hampton, N.H.
Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky. He is a territory business manager for Valvoline in the Pacific Northwest. His paternal grandparents are the late Gilbert and Dorothy Jones of Morehead, Ky. His maternal grandparents are Nelson and Wilma Grote of Morehead.
The wedding will be the evening of Oct. 18, 2014, at the Jekyll Island Club’s Faith Chapel with Pastor Alan Miller officiating. The reception will follow the ceremony at the Craine Cottage.
