“A Parade of Giving” will be the theme for the 18th annual Illuminated Christmas Parade, according to the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
The parade will being about twilight Friday, Dec. 5, in downtown Hinesville.
This year’s theme will highlight local nonprofits, volunteer organizations and other philanthropic entities.
“We are excited about this year’s parade theme, as Liberty County nonprofits and other philanthropic groups work so hard to help this community,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said. “It is nice to recognize them and their efforts by encouraging local businesses to partner and recognize what is given back in so many ways.”
The parade showcases businesses, groups and organizations from the area. This free event previously has attracted over 15,000 spectators. The route takes the parade through downtown Hinesville, where spectators can bring their own chairs to sit and watch the festivities.
