Goldenheirs met June 5 at First Baptist in Hinesville for their monthly meeting.

Jim Elliott, New Sunbury Association director of missions, spoke to the group of 32 Goldenheirs about his childhood days with family members in the mountains. His humorous tales intertwined with words of wisdom captivated the audience.

Goldenheirs meet at noon the first Tuesday of each month in the fellowship hall at First Baptist. The meetings feature covered dish lunches and guest speakers who are of interest to the senior community. The next meeting is July 3 and will feature the Jubilee Choir (seniors) of First Baptist. All seniors are invited.
