Hillary Scott is the seven-time Grammy Award-winning singer of the country music trio Lady Antebellum, but on Friday she will release her first Christian album.

Joined by her parents, Lang Scott and Linda Davis, and her sister Rylee, Hillary Scott and The Scott Family recorded an album that began as a five-song "thank you" to friends who supported the family following Scotts grandfathers passing in 2011. However, the album evolved into what Scott calls an act of obedience.

It was just something that was in my heart," Scott told the Christian Post. "God put it in my heart and I felt like making this album with my family was us, as a family, walking in obedience."

Hillary Scott and The Scott Family released the first single off their album in June titled, Thy Will, which Scott revealed to ABC's Good Morning America was inspired by her own miscarriage.

Its hard to count it all joy, distracted by the noise, Scott sings on the track. Trying to make sense of all the promises. Sometimes Ive got to stop, remember that youre God and I am not.

The albums title track, Love Remains, tells of various places love is found in ones journey through life.

We all live and we all die, Scotts father Lang Scott sings in the last verse of the song. But the end is not goodbye.

Sounds like Nashvilles Chuck Dauphin reviewed the album in advance of its release.

Love Remains offers a different side of the singer that we have come to know and love since Lady A first hit," Dauphin wrote. "But spend any amount of time with the singer and see how she treats fans, media or just people in general, you can tell that innate beauty is very much a part of her make-up."
