People enjoy coming together for a good time and fellowship, especially good preaching, teaching and singing.
On June 13, many will gather at 8:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church in Allenhurst for a day of anointed preaching and fellowship.
“We have invited pastors and ministers from the community and surrounding areas to come and speak a word,” said Gail Ross, visionary for this Preachers Anointed to Encourage Christians Everywhere (PACE) gathering.
“Many people are hurting and they need hope. The various pastors and ministers who will speak can give them hope and let them know Jesus loves them. These men and women of God will have time to come and deliver 10 minutes of exaltation to the people,” said Ross, who is also the wife of Apostle Walter Ross of Ross Ministries in Midway.
“It is a coming together of spiritual leaders to exemplify unity,” she said. “God wants to show that there is a unity among the leaders. When the leaders come together, it shows a spiritual force. Love brings us together.”
According to Ross, the purpose of the gathering is to make known that Jesus Christ is Lord, to strengthen and support all families, to bring spiritual change to the community and to demonstrate to the lost that there is still hope.
“We are incorporating different ministries to come together to deposit a word. In unity there is strength; we are not bound by denomination or doctrine, but by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. I pray someone will walk away knowing there is hope in Jesus,” she said.
“We will have morning prayer at the wailing wall which is located on the grounds of Good Shepherd. After prayer, the morning session is from 9 a.m. until noon. Immediately following lunch, the afternoon session will begin at 12:30.”
“We have invited pastors and their congregations to come and be a part of this gathering. When God gave me the vision for PACE, He was letting me know there are anointed pastors and ministers who can come and encourage the people. It is about kingdom building, bringing souls to Christ,” she said.
Pastors who did not receive a letter but would like to participate can call Ross at 877-7057 or Carolyn Screen at 884-3471.
