It’s praying time. Pastor Thomas Crutchfield and members of Life United Pentecostal Church (LUPC) in Hinesville, Georgia, are gearing up for their second annual prayer conference.

The prayer conference will be held June 9-10 at the church.

“We are reaching for prayer warriors and intercessors to motivate our community and people at large to get connected to God in prayer,” said Evangelist Serena Duvall.

The theme for the conference is: Passion for Prayer, which is taken from Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (New King James Version).  Duvall is the prayer coordinator for Life United Pentecostal Church.

“On Friday, June 9 at 7 p.m., the speaker will be First Lady Orelia Brown of McDonough, Georgia. She is also with the World Network of Prayer,” noted Duvall.

“We will have an hour of prayer on Saturday, June 10 beginning at 8 am.”

“Prayer will be led by Pastor Lou Gholson of Forest Park, Georgia. Gholson is the World Network of Prayer Coordinator for Georgia,” Duvall said. Worship service will begin at 9 am with Sis. Flo Shaw of Austin, Texas, who is also with the World Network of Prayer International.

“We are expecting people from Mississippi, Statesboro, and the surrounding communities. The conference is free, and we will have brunch immediately after services on Saturday,” said Duvall.

“Prayer is the foundation and there is a connection in prayer. We must push harder in prayer because we cannot allow the enemy to have our families and communities,” said Duvall.

“Our local prayer ministry (Consuming Fire Prayer Ministry) has prayer every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and every Saturday at 8 a.m. We also have a telephone line for prayer every Monday at 7 p.m.,” Duvall stated.

“We pray for all the nations of the world. There are 250 countries, and we have assigned different prayer teams to pray for different nations,” she said.

“Since March, we have been praying for the prodigals. We are asking God to bring our sons and daughters back and to bring back the backsliders. We have been hearing testimonies of people being healed and God is bringing people back to the fold.”

“The church is doing great things, and we have a wonderful pastor, who is a very humble man and loves the Lord,” Duvall said.
