Trust in the consistency of God

This time of year, we see temperatures fluctuating quite a bit.
One day, it will be 70 degrees. Two days later, it will get up to only 50. A week or so ago, we were above 80 on Monday, but then we were looking at trying to get out of the 30s by midweek.
When I moved to Georgia several years ago, I was told about the old saying that “If you don't like the weather, just wait a couple of days and you'll get what you like.”
Even though the weather, along with other things in life, is inconsistent, one thing we do know is that God is not. James 1:17 tells us that our heavenly Father does not change like shifting shadows, and Hebrews 13:8 tells us that “Jesus Christ (God in human flesh) is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
This means that when God is willing to practice forgiveness today, he will be offering it tomorrow.
This means that the same God who comforted you yesterday, when you went through a rough time in life, is the same God who will be faithful to you when your next challenge comes.
The key question is, will you start trusting him as your God? Since he has provided a way of salvation through his Son, Jesus Christ, will you trust him for forgiveness, peace and eternal life?
In a day of instability, when things are changing around us so fast, the only real stable force we can depend on is God.
