Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes have changed throughout the years, according to Stephen Bene’, a representative of the homes.
Bene’ recently spoke at the May meeting of Goldenheirs.

The homes, which started from an orphanage about 140 years ago, now serve in other areas, Bene’ told the group.

The home at Baxley currently houses 25 children and is expecting more in the near future. Children receive basic care, are taught basic life skills and help with other issues.

Each day at the school starts with a Bible reading and prayer.

Hinesville First Baptist supports the homes with donations and will sponsor a trip to Baxley this month.
