The Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Southern Cooks LIVE this month featured Jonathan Garrett, owner of Sho’ Nuff Smokin’ Good BBQ restaurant and catering.

Sho’ Nuff is active in the county, having won awards over the years, such as overall best taste at the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Taste of Liberty, multiple categories at the Hinesville Area Arts Council Blues, Brews and BBQ festival, and most recently, Garrett has been nominated as one of the South’s greatest chefs by South magazine.

On the show Garrett gave four grilling recipes: pork roast, ribs, cabbage and sweet Vidalia onions. He also shared a recipe for an easy brown gravy.

“The thing you got to understand about cooking, is it’s a science and it’s an art. Most people get into art more than they do to the science. If you understand the science of it, then you figure out the art,” Garrett said.
