Historic sites mark Labor Day

Revolutionary War cannon demonstrations will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at Fort Morris State Historic Site, 2559 Fort Morris Road in Midway.
Historically attired interpreters will present Revolutionary War soldier talks, musket and cannon demonstrations Other Colonial skills also will be presented.
Fees are $3 and $4.50.

Fort King George going Colonial
Fort King George State Historic Site will host its annual Labor Day commemoration event from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at 302 McIntosh Road SE in Darien.
Planned activities include musket and cannon-firing demonstrations, live music and Colonial children’s toys and games.
Costs are $7 and $4.
