Long Health Dept. hosts Ladies on Macon Street

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Long County Health Department will host a health fair for women from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30. "Ladies Day on Macon Street," will take place at the health department at 57 N. Macon St. in Ludowici.
The department is partnering with the American Cancer Society and Altamaha Technical College to offer free blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, nutritional counseling, HIV testing, breast health exams and bone density scans. In addition, the mobile screening van from Southeast Georgia Health System will be available for tours.
Door prizes will also be given at the event, which is free and open to the public.
