Liberty Regional Medical Center is joining the celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week from Sept. 21–26.
To kick off the week, Hinesville Mayor Jim Thomas signed an official document proclaiming it “National Re-habilitation Awareness Week” in the city and encouraged all citizens to be aware of the benefits of rehabilitation.
“It’s an opportunity for all the disciplines of rehabilitation therapy to be recognized for their dedication toward helping those in need of these types of services to get back where they need to be sooner.” said Dave Wilhelm, director of rehabilitation services at Liberty Regional.
According to Wilhelm, one of the advantages of the therapy programs at Liberty Regional Medical Center is that physical, occupational, speech and cardio-pulmonary therapies are all available at one location.
“There’s no need for the residents of our community to travel any distance to receive these specialized services. Our patients are our number one priority,” Wilhelm said.
