On June 17, the Liberty County Cosmopolitan Club held its annual Miss Teenage Liberty Pageant, “Simply Beautiful.”
Liberty County High School senior Shavia Wrease was named Miss Teenage Liberty County. She competed against four other girls vying for the title. The 2010 winner, Courtney Rush, presented the crown to Wrease.
Lavonda Denise Houston, also a Liberty County High School senior, was chosen as Miss Cosmopolitan. Kari Villafane was named first runner-up and Miss Congeniality.
Pageant contestants participated in sportswear, talent, evening gown and question/answer competitions.
