christmasparade2017

The 21st annual Illuminated Christmas Parade hosted by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau is set for Dec. 1, and the deadline to register to be in the parade is approaching.

The final deadline to turn in parade registration documents and pay is Nov. 24. Currently the pricing is $70 for nonprofits and for-profits, plus $25 for an additional unit fee.

Absolutely no parade registration documents will be taken after Nov. 24.

The parade will be in downtown Hinesville beginning at 6:30 p.m. The parade has been held in Hinesville for the past 20 years and showcases businesses, groups and organizations from all over the area. This event has previously attracted more than 15,000 spectators and is televised and live-streamed on WTOC.

Spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs to sit and enjoy the lights, floats and performances. The route for this year will be a little different, however, spectators can still sit in their favorite spots from years past and see the parade. Check the Liberty Chamber Facebook page for a route map soon.

The chamber and CBV would like to thank the event sponsors: Walmart Super Center, McDonalds on Hwy 84, Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep and the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority.
