Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

 So we cut our education budget and teacher pay. Now we’re going to give the mayor and council a big raise. Then there is that Jekyll Island expense. So, what is wrong with the conference room at the courthouse, besides the fact it is there for that purpose?

Can you believe Burger King on post and off is selling their burgers without tomatoes? This has been going on for a month now. I guess McDonald’s is going to get all their business.
 
Under President Obama’s administration, are we headed toward socialism? What say you?
 
The person complaining about schools having a teacher work day and then two days off after that needs to be thankful it’s not their job making them take days off without pay. After all, school is for education, not a babysitting place.
