Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I just turned on the news and heard a lot of Egyptian Christians were being murdered and more in Africa. The Christians are dying at the hands of Muslims. America better wake up.

If you’ll recall from an earlier call, I said the Falcons wouldn’t make it. They just didn’t have what it takes in the pressure of the playoffs.

OK, Fort Stewart, it’s 5 after 5 early in the morning and you got 20,000 cars trying to get through Gate 7. Come on, open some of these other gates. Relieve some of this traffic.

Congratulations to Jason Floyd for being elected to the city council. However, I fear you’ll be outvoted by other councilmen who have no knowledge of finance management. Good luck.

Students weren’t out because it was too cold. They were out because there was the possibility roads would freeze or have ice. So check your information before you have it read in the newspaper.
