Sound off for July 10
kidscanswire2
Sound off messages are not checked for veracity and are published as entertainment, giving a sense of what area residents are thinking.

These opinions are not the Courier’s. Callers are not required to identify themselves, so we can verify neither sources nor motives. You may also anonymously submit a comment online at http://coastalcourier.com/forms/soundoff.

Candidates have their names listed on the ballots, so why can’t their names be recorded on a Sound off message, whether it’s good or bad?

Editor’s note: Point taken.

So, if I’m correct we’re going to have at least nine chicken spots. Come on, unnecessary places. Taxpayer deserve better.

I think Diana Reid is doing a very good job for the people. Some people don’t like it when you’re doing your job or telling the truth. We need to know what is going on in Hinesville. The evilness and crookedness needs to end. It’s called breaking the chain.

For little boy President Donald Trump may be setting himself up for impeachment or something far worse with the way he is acting.

Why has the Coastal Courier not reported on the city council voting themselves a huge 50 percent pay raise for retirement at the June 1 city council meeting? It seems to me there should be no raise until taxes come down and if any raise, why not a 2 or 3 percent raise?

Editor’s note: They haven’t approved a raise, yet, but if the proposed hike in retirement pay passes it’ll be for future councils. City charter prohibits councils from voting themselves a raise, though if they’re re-elected they’ll be eligible. We’ll report it again when it becomes official.
