Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Hats off to the Courier for the John Rosemond parenting column, “Dads must be parents, not buddies.” It’s worth reading even if you just know a dad. Dads, these are children. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

I’d like to see if Carter Funeral Home can get lights on the American flag at Oglethorpe Memorial Cemetery. I think it would be a wonderful thing.

I’d like to thank the two young teenage girls on Heritage
Road for the wonderful neighborhood watch they perform-ed. It was a very good job.

I was coming down South Main and the cops had someone pulled over. Instead of looking to make sure the lane was clear, he opened the door and I almost hit it, the cop. How bright are they in this area?

Congratulations to Ludowici Police Department and the MACE team for getting the meth lab busted. Now let’s concentrate on the people who are doing and selling the pill problem here. People have been telling you and now it’s time to get on it.

I see in the Courier the officials are off to Jekyll Island to plan again. What is there to plan? They can do that in the city, where the people can make sure they are planning correctly, not out partying with the other officials.
