Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were  phoned in anonymously so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

I’m so excited about our new bus service. I’d like to know where the pickup points will be and drop off points. Is there going to be a schedule published in the paper?
 
Wow, yesterday I saw a young boy riding a skateboard with what looked like his arm in a cast. They must have good insurance.
 
How can a city official in Walthourville file for bankruptcy and remain an official? I don’t think that’s right.
 
Well, I notice the Coastal Courier is remodeling the building on the outside. It’s mighty funny they can afford that but the Friday paper is shorter than two or three pages. Why don’t you remod el the paper and your building?
 
The audacity of hope is the audacity of faith. Faith for things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Continue faith in God.
Rascal Flatts rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” at the Ohio State football game this weekend has got to be the worst since Roseanne tried to do it a couple years ago at that baseball game.

Instead of burning the Koran like they’re talking about, people, all people should read it and know what they say about the Christian and Jew. Then they’ll know what’s in it.
