Cosmpolitan Club pageant Saturday

The members of the Cosmopolitan Club presents their thirty-sixth annual Miss Teenage Liberty County pageant at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Performing Arts Center formally Brewton-Parker College.
Admission to the pageant is $5.
An evening of entertainment from the Cosmopolitan Kids, young area talent and seven beautiful contestants will capture your attention. The contestants will present an opening dance to Yolanda Adams’ “Lift Him Up.” They will be judged in the areas of sportswear, talents, evening gown and question and answer competitions. This year’s theme is “Beautiful Gems.”
The club was established in 1955. Mary Baggs, 99, and Clarence Williams, 91, are two of the club’s charted members. John Lewis serves as the club’s president. The club supports Cub Scout Pack 581, provides scholarships to eight graduating seniors from our high schools and helps families in our community. They also have “Cosmopolitan” teams with the Liberty County  Recreation Department. The club will also present $500 scholarships to Samantha Leach, Olivia Deigh, Angel Scott, Charity Crowell, Kalaiah Rose, Sabre Reddick, Natalie Sharp and Annie Collins.
