Long County pageant set for Sept. 15

The Miss Long County Wildlife Western Wear Pageant is planned for 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Long County High School lunchroom.
All entries must be received by Sept. 14.
Pageant organizers must have all entry forms by Friday night and will not accept entries at the door.

Judges will score contestants on beauty, poise, personality and over-all appearance. Score sheets will be given out after crowning.
Prettiest smile and best western wear: Winners in each age division will receive an award. Attire is western wear only. No pageant dresses allowed.
Overall queen: There will be one overall queen named, and no double crowning.
The entry fee is $50, and includes beauty, best western wear, prettiest smile and overall.
Age divisions include: Baby (birth-1 year), Toddler (2-3 years), Tiny (4-6 years), Petite (7-9 years), Pre-Teen (10-12 years), Jr. Miss (13-15 years), Miss (16-18 years) and Ms./Mrs. (19 and older).

Admission is $3 for everyone, except the contestants.
The person who turns in the most money will receive an award.
Practice is set for 7 p.m. Sept. 14 and is not mandatory.
The People's Choice Queen will receive a banner, crown and trophy. Spectators can vote for their favorite contestant by paying a dollar.
