Midway Museum's Annual Christmas Tea on Saturday
Midway Museum Tea

The Midway Museum will host the 57th Annual Christmas Tea on Saturday, December 10.

Guests will enjoy freshly brewed tea, cookies, tea sandwiches and treats, followed by a tour of the museum decorated for a Colonial Christmas. Staff and volunteers of the museum will dress in period costumes and act as hosts for the tea service. Guests may also walk across the street to the Historic Midway Cemetery, the resting spot of Revolutionary War Generals James Screven and Daniel Stewart.

The Midway Museum is Georgia’s first Colonial museum and is a replica of a Colonial style plantation cottage, housing artifacts from Colonial, Revolutionary and Civil War eras. During the holiday season, the museum is decorated with fruits and greenery, in a traditional Colonial style.

Tea sittings begin promptly at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children.

Reservations are required by calling 912-884-5837.

The Midway Museum is located at 491 N. Coastal Highway in Midway and is open for tours Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit them online at www.themidwaymuseum.org or find them on Facebook as Midway Museum.
