The statements below do not reflect the opinions of the Courier. The calls are anonymous so the Courier can not vouch  its veracity.

I agree with the caller about the family reunion with just a treasurer and someone who is not a member of the family. We need someone to speak about the history of the reunion and things like that.

It's ridiculous the way people now are starting to come to church. They come with dirty sneakers, dirty jeans, any kind of shirt. It is a disgrace before our Father in heaven. They can get dressed to go to other affairs, but not to our Father's house.

We have a water restriction in the city of Hinesville, yet we have carwashes operating all day long. I thought we weren't supposed to use excess water for watering after 10 in the morning. If we're going to enforce it for lawns, we need to stop the carwashes also.

For the people complaining about the heat in the buses, it doesn't really matter. If they go back later, they'll get out later in June and it's still hot. What they really need to do is get air conditioning on the buses.

Why is somebody that doesn't have to live there complaining about the size of the houses on 196 at Smiley Crossroads? I've seen them. They are as big as my house. The only thing I don't like about mine is where it's at. I can't afford to move and it won't do any good to complain. So I've learned to live with it.

I hear tell those buses get just as hot inside as my car does. Therefore, any adult who thinks it is OK for our kids to be forced to ride those hot buses in the summer, should be forced to ride those same buses the whole route every afternoon during the month of August. Personally, I think it is child abuse.

Long County citizens, if you would, please get out and vote.

When is this community going to recognize how much the VAA (we think the caller meant VVA) does for it and the soldiers? They help the elderly, they send kids to camp, they change the flags on memorial walks, they volunteer to meet flights from Iraq and, by the way, they were out there to feed the 10,000 on the Fourth. I'm not a vet, or vet's wife, but sure would be proud to be one.

For the people that don't want Wilkerson Road paved, more power to you. That's in Long County.
