Lewis Levine’s column in Wednesday’s paper concerning a motorcycle accident went beyond reality. While the assistance provided the victim was commendable, it is what should be expected of anyone coming upon such a scene. Comparing it to a soldier falling on a grenade to save his buddies is absurd.

Today’s article on the new signs is good, but they should put them up in front of some of these dilapidated buildings. They can’t attract anyone with signs, unless they get to work and tear down some of these old buildings and houses.

Can you please tell me if there is anything in state law about making the results of AIDS testing public? There are a lot of single women that have the virus and that are infecting a lot of young men around Liberty County.

A day care leaving a child on a bus is a serious issue that the public needs to know about since that child is left in the care of, you know, a day care. It shouldn’t be kept private.

Mayor and city council have once again put the fox in charge of the hen house. They put the biggest violators of the sign ordinance in charge of developing a new sign ordinance. That being real estate professionals. What a bone head move.

I think children should go back to school at the end of August because, for one, it’s too hot out. The buses don’t have air condition and the kids might pass out. Also, the kids are not ready to go back at that time.

Board of education in Hinesville, please let these kids go back to school later due to the fact of the heat. Savannah is using common sense letting the kids go back later. Nobody cares about the little breaks in between, let them go back later and stay in later.
